change default icon of window

Hi 
how do I change the icon of the window? I want to make it my own icon
and not the default one (gray window).


also where can I find info about making Applets in gtk-perl? I have
tried to look at the downloadable applet script, bit it doesnt work.
errors out where it tries to use Gnome::Applet
