% perl Makefile.PL
found package "gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.0", using it
xs_files-2.0 lists 132 xs files
xs_files-2.2 lists 4 xs files

I fixed it by hacking Makefile.PL:
--- Makefile.PL.orig 2003-11-17 11:28:40.000000000 +0100
+++ Makefile.PL 2003-11-17 11:29:07.000000000 +0100

that's fixed in cvs HEAD now, the whole line shouldn't be in there
unless you're in the 2.3 branch on cvs. you were given credit in the
ChangeLog for finding it.
