I've been developing the bindings on my powerbook for the last year and  
a half.  It works.  :-)

I use Apple's X11 and Fink stable on Panther.  Fink's stable gtk+-2.0  
binary is 2.2.4.  Default theme, default everything, because i'm lazy.

As you might imagine, i don't see this.

It's odd that you see different behavior between C and Perl...  my only  
guess is something to the effect of gtk+ either linking or initializing  
incorrectly with perl.

This one is not really harmful, just annoying.  Easily fixed by copying  
the implementation of dl_load_flags() from Gtk2.pm into VFS.pm.

Did you compile this gtk+ yourself or get the binaries from someplace?   
It sounds like there's a linkage problem.
