No, the xlib surface is not wrapped by the bindings.  In order to provide these 
bindings, we would first need to have meaningful bindings of the various xlib 
types like Display*, Drawable*, Visual*, etc.  I don't know of such bindings. 
As long as you cannot create or get hold of these objects, there is no point in 
providing bindings for the xlib surface.
