This is a known issue with MSVC .Net 2003, which M$ has, unbelievably, 
acknowledged.  Check gtkmm bugzilla for links/details.  In theory this 
problem will be fixed in MSVC .Net 2005, however I don't intend to put 
any more time into gtkmm-on-MSVC - it works fine with MinGW and I prefer 
a free-as-in-freedom toolchain.
