Troubles with Gtk::TreeView::expand_to_path

Hello,

I try for a couple of days to use the following method to expand an TreeView :

void Gtk::TreeView::expand_to_path ( const TreeModel::Path&  path  )

It works perfectly a long as the root is expanded. But any time I try
to expand a branch, with the TreeView closed from the root, it does
NOT work at all ...
Is there a way to make it work ?
