Re: how to build gtkmm3 demo

'make check' builds the programs in gtkmm-3.4.0/tests and 
gtkmm-3.4.0/demos and their subdirectories.
You should see a Makefile in the demos folder that can build the 
programs in both demos and demos/gtk-demo.
