[Nautilus-list] Nautilus 1.0 in a RedHat 6.2 has problems

Greetings...

I am not in this list, so if anyone is in the mood to answer please do
  direct to me.

The environment is the VA-Linux 6.3.2 that was developed form the
Red Hat 6.2. The Gnome is the last one form Helix, installed by hand
  from these files:

  ftp://ftp.helixcode.com:21/helix/distributions/RedHat-6/

After had downloaded and installed these:

ORBit-0.5.7-3.i386.rpm glib-1.2.9-1.i386.rpm
ORBit-devel-0.5.7-3.i386.rpm glib-devel-1.2.9-1.i386.rpm
gnome-user-docs-0.99-0_helix_1.i386.rpm
gtk+-1.2.9-4.i386.rpm
esound-0.2.22-1.i386.rpm gtk+-devel-1.2.9-4.i386.rpm
esound-devel-0.2.22-1.i386.rpm
xpdf-0.92-2.i386.rpm

the Gnome system bacame a mess of libs and include files... No more
possible to compile or run many of the packages I was running before.

The solution was move back to the original ones from Helix...

The most uncommon issue was about that

	control-center-devel-1.3.90

I cant find the .src.rpm or the .tar.gz to compile locally!

Now I am trying that, so called, externat Nautilus instalation from:

http://www.eazel.com/download/build_instructions?email_address=#section3

hoping that the files from sections 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 do not mess up
again with my working Gnome desktop...

Is the Gnome 1.2 the default one of all Red Hat 6.2 out-of-the-box
  systems?

Thank you.
Regards
							Thomas.
