You mean it should wait for you to hit the Enter key? That's definitely not
the intent. I believe it's standard behavior for text changes to be accepted
when the keyboard focus leaves the editable text.
Maybe you can get the gnome usability folks to weigh in on how it should
work across Gnome, and then then I'd be happy to accept a patch for Nautilus
to match their recommendation.
By the way, we typically discuss things like this in bug reports on
bugzilla.gnome.org so it's easy for hackers later to see the whole
discussion thread.
