Configuration server couldn't be contacted

Hi,

I'm running nautilus 1.0.6 and it will no longer run... it prints a
bunch of
error messages and core dumps.

Here are the messages:

Eel-WARNING **: GConf error:

 Adding client to server's list failed, CORBA error:
IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0
(repeats dozens or hundreds of times)

Eel-WARNING **: GConf error:

(gnome_vfs_job_set): assertion failed:
(gnome_vfs_context_get_cancellation (op->context) != NULL)
