I think Nautilus could also use a way to add items to the context menu,
based on what's being clicked on. Like the Windows Explorer does. Some
way to register menu items with Nautilus would be useful in a lot of
situations, as would some way to alter emblems (and perhaps other
things) based on the file in question, like Active Desktop does.

I bring this up entirely because of the TortoiseCVS shell extension,
which adds context-menu items for "cvs add," etc, and overlays an icon
on top of the regular file icons to denote "up to date," "modified",
etc.

I would love to be able to do this in Nautilus.
