Re: [Nautilus-list] Desktop folder

As there are several different views on where the desktop folder should be
located (hidden vs. non-hidden vs. home-dir), maybe the best solution
would be to choose some default (/me votes for $HOME) and let the user
pick an _arbitrary_ other directory if he doesn't like that.

(As an extension to that one could even allow the creation of several such
directories and let the user switch between these by selecting one from
the context-menu of the root-window. This way people could have different
desktops depending on what they are currently doing -- like one desktop
for work-related things and another for personal stuff.)

Regards,
Lars
