Hi,
Checked out the 2.5.2 build via garnome. Couple of
questions:
1) Why is there no icon for the home folder on the
menu panel? I can understand the problem (yes..i read
the thread) with the home>desktop>home loop , so why
not leave the home icon on the panel?
2)The browse filesystem link in the applications menu
invokes "nautilus --no-desktop --browse". Is the
--no-desktop bit essential ? Maybe its just me, but
nautilus seems to load faster in the browser mode if
the '--no-desktop' bit is removed
3)Are there any plans to allow background selection on
a per-folder basis? If we are going to treat each
directory as a folder in the true sense , we should be
allowed to decorate them at will. Maybe an enlarged
version of the folder emblem as a watermarked
background should be provided by default , now that
the sidebar is gone...
Oh , and the speed increase reminded me why they put
seatbelts in cars : ). Great work guys!
Ramanan
