I don't think the problem is disk mounter, i think that it is nautilus.
Now, I have been clicking on the background to mount the disk. Again, I
click the infernal icon that pops up on the background and I navigate the
disk with nautilus. When I want to unmount, I close my nautilus window
and use the icon on the background to eject. I keep getting the complaint
that 'device is busy'.

So, I did a fuser -av /mnt/cdrom and there was a program called 'fam'
accessing the drive.

how do I solve this?
I think it was already mentioned here on the news.
Don't remember the answer. Search.

Anyway, as for now you can run "lsof" utility to know
exactly who is using the mounted volume.

In my case it is "fam" that tried to monitor the Trash
i think. I haven't looked into solution because i mount
things rarely.
