Disabling Burn:/// auto-mount

Hello,
I'm running Gnome & Nautilus 2.2.1 on redhat 9. When I put a blank CD in the 
CD-RW drive (ide/atapi emulating scsi) A nautilus window pops up with 
burn:/// in the location bar.

This really messes with my system, as I'm trying to create a utility to burn 
moderate quantities of a few pre-built isos. The utility calls 

#eject -t cdrom1;cdrecord dev=0,1,0 -eject foo.iso
or
#eject -t cdrom; growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/dvd PromoVideo.iso; eject cdrom

repeatedly, but nautilus seems to be grabbing the scsi bus.

How do I stop nautilus from looking at the CD-RW/DVD drive when I insert a cd?

(I have already #rm /etc/rc5.d/S*autofs;  but it didn't help.)
