Re: folder icons in debian



IIRC, I had a similar problem when I installed GNOME from source once. I
think there was a problem with the default GConf settings for
/desktop/gnome/interface/icon_theme,
/desktop/gnome/file_views/icon_theme, and/or perhaps
/apps/nautilus/preferences/theme... I think there was some silliness
over capitalization... check in /usr/share/icons for what themes are
available and then go into gconf-editor and make sure that the name for
these three keys matches the name of the folder in /usr/share/icons...
