ah, thanks. I'm a step further now.
samba-3.0.1, gnome-fvs-2.5.7 with samba enabled (missed that on the
first try), nautilus-2.5.7

jens lisamobile jens $ smbclient -L lisamobile

now I try to open smb:///lisamobile in Nautilus:

I get no error message now, Nautilus does something but I get no result.
The CPU load goes up and a top shows me that bonobo-activation is using
up to 40% CPU - and that's it

If I click "Stop" in nautilus then bonobo-activation also stops. But I
get no smb shares to browse :(

any more helpful ideas?

thanks
Jens
