invalid unicode in nautilus "My computer"

Hi, no idea if this bug is known or if it's just something to do with my 
setup (probably) so apologies if it is:

When I open the "My Computer" nautilus folder My dvd writer is called 
"CD-RW/DVD?RW (invalid Unicode)"

I created a new empty account but the result was still the same.
