This is for all files. Very small files are not thumbnailed, but instead
the file itself is used as the thumbnail.
i am not sure if this is the problem.

as you can see, two pictures have VERY small thumbnails...
but those small thumbnails are not the files themselves.
they are much larger:
darkelf.png: 193 x 300
lineage2_darkelf_1.jpg: 438 x 484
and they still have very small thumbnails..
