I am running Fedora Core 3 and installed the NetworkManager and
NetworkManager-gnome rpm's (version 0.3.1-3). I stopped the network
service from starting up at boot so as not to interfere with
NetworkManager. I then start NetworkManager and NetworkManagerInfo.
I can click on the icon in the toolbar, but when I try to connect to
an SSID my computer becomes unresponsive. I don't believe it crashes
always at the same point because sometimes the icon changes first and
the ssid I entered appears in the dropdown menu. I am using a pcmcia
wireless card on my laptop that uses the orinoco_cs driver. Should I
try installing from cvs? Thanks,
Carl
