I have the following issues related to seeing my WAP with Network
manager:
1) NM 0.7 does not have my home WAP appear in the list of available
access points, although a number of my neighbors' access points are
showing up. I have the following NM packages installed on openSUSE
11.1:
NetworkManager-kde-0.7r848570-25.3
NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.0.r1043-1.10
NetworkManager-glib-0.7.0.r4323-1.13
NetworkManager-0.7.0.r4323-1.13
I have an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card on an IBM T60.
However, my ESSID (deathstar) does show up with 'iwlist'
wlan0 Scan completed :
Cell 01 - Address: 00:18:F8:F9:EF:D5

2) So, I can connect to the WAP by manually creating the connection.
However, even though the signal strength is good (as evidenced above)
the icons (attached as snapshot1.png and snapshot2.png) do not reflect
this.
Any guidance around this is greatly appreciated.
