The processor is Freescale i.MX6 quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU, so i did use the Debian armel version, uninstall old ubuntu version, ar x network-manager_0.9.8.10-3_armel.deb. cd / tar xvf data.tar.xz reboot, run NetworkManager, the process dies !!! the process dies !!! no error message from /var/log/syslog, it does have some info message e.g. read configuration file, VPN loaded ... As to build the binary, honestly i really don't want to do it, i'm not good at it 1st of all. 2nd, 0.9.8 is depending on different lib versions from 0.9.4. i already got the 0.9.8 binary from debian, also copies libs associated to it. don't see binary from source code can be that different from debian package.
