Ubuntu includes a version of gnome-speech that can use
speech-dispatcher. Just install speech-dispatcher and configure it to
use eSpeak. There is already a speech-dispatcher module included in the
package. Now in orca just change the synthesizer from festival
gnome-speech driver to speech-dispatcher gnome-speech driver and you
should be in business.
HTH,
Lorenzo
