Re: [orca-list] Orca Completely Broken!

No I don't have x running when I was doing a 'orca -t' I thought that
was run from a text console. That's what I did when I originally set
things up a while back. Now I just updated to svn 3561 but still same
problem. I get gnome startup sound, then "Welcome to orca" but then
it locks up. I just got through trying to do ctrl-alt-f2 to get to my
text console and no response. The only thing that works for me is
ctrl-alt-backspace. Earlier today, I had been trying to run gdmsetup
and that's seems to be when the lock-ups began; now my gnome is no
good anymore! Is there any way to restore settings without having to
completely reinstall my system?

Oops - sorry for the terseness. I was entering that using Dasher and
pushed the wrong button. From the GtkWarning, it looks like your
DISPLAY environment variable is not set and/or the X Server is not running.

Is your display environment variable set?
