Hi Mike:

For most objects, Orca will attempt to perform the default accessible 
action for the object (if an action exists).  If it doesn't Orca will 
move the pointer to the object and perform a click.

For text areas, Orca merely tells the text object to move the caret and 
does not move the pointer.
