[orca-list] problem sending some files

i seem to be having a problem sending some files.
i zipped up some files for a holiday video using zip as my 
recipient isn't a linux user.
orca was reading the percentage of the file but when it got to 
something like 17 % it came up with the following message and 
just an ok button.
i had to use the orca keystrokes to read this.
error while sending message.  data command failed.  broken pipe: 
mail not sent
how do i resolve this?
i would have tried yousendit only it doesn't seem to be 
accessible with orca.
