KTTSD switched to wrapping speech-dispatcher a year ago. I was in
discussion with you a lot at the time.
Sorry, of course I remember our discussions! :-) Somehow
I didn't momentarily connect how far it went.
KTTSD (now renamed to Jovie) itself provides a dbus interface for
apps to use, and has some filtering abilities,
otherwise it is not much more than a wrapper around speech-dispatcher.
We will for sure review the Jovie DBUS interface to see
if we can build on similarities.
It would be helpful if you could please help me summarize a list
of issues that remain unresolved in the interaction between
Jovie and Speech Dispatcher so that we could see if we can't
easily fix some of those during the 0.8 development.
