Hello Michael,
I just built the version of orca from git.  Not sure whether I have the 
3.0 branch, but here's the runtime errors I'm getting:

** (orca:17834): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'WnckWindowState' 
as enum
when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'

** (orca:17834): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 
'WnckWindowActions' as en
m when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'

** (orca:17834): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 
'WnckWindowMoveResizeMask
 as enum when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'

I have a braille display running which shows a "blank" contents.  I head 
the "welcome to orca" message but nothing else.

I'll keep looking into this.
