Yes, that does help! Thank you. I managed to spend my Sunday free time
playing with Audacity and trying out different audio extractors that I
got one disc of the book onto my driver where I wanted it and then didnt
have time to listen to the book. /lol/ But I'm taking notes o I can
start contributing ways and means when others ask. VLC does look very
interesting, so I will try out your suggestions when I have the time to
play again. /smile/ I do have future work-related reasons for learning
more about working with audio files, so it's all good.

keyboard.

3. To return to the normal playback rate (the original playback rate) of 
a file, just press the equal-sign key ("="), which is the second key to 
the right of the "0" key at the top (the "number row") of a standard 
keyboard.
