Please don't confuse orca with debian.  Debian in its command line 
version would have performed for you as well as vinux now does.  All of 
this is a matter of learning and knowing how to PROPERLY configure an 
operating system environment and that is why vinux made the difference 
for you.  The Debian Stock distribution doesn't do this kind of 
configuration and several earlier versions of orca on other 
distributions didn't either.
