Agreed. Unity seems to be easier on memory than Gnome 3.x, and these
days regardless of what OS you are running you really should have 2 GB
or more as a general rule of thumb.Especially, on netbooks.

I think unity is a bit easy on memory so 12.04 gives some hope for that
one probllem.
Else I never had a problem with a netbook running Ubuntu and orca.
I would just say as a general observation, any netbook with less than 2
gb ram is of no great use.
