Control s toggles the speech on and off at the login screen in 12.04.
I don't know if this works in 12.10. Also, you may run into trouble
with Cinnamon as it doesn't have all the a11y stuff fixed last I knew.
If you want a classic menus Gnome experience, then you need to
install the gnome-session-fallback package. Then, once your login
prompt talks to you again, you will be able to select Gnome-classic as
your desktop. Cinnamon is a new desktop system that closely bases
itself on Gnome 2 but with Gnome 3 libraries. I don't think they went
so far as to include the acessibility stack in their plans. Does
anyone know differently?

Hi there!
I was installing Ubuntu 12, and cinnamon desktop to get classic start menu,
but I need to logout and to change the desktop on login screen.
I am interesting, how to force the Orca screen reader to speak on login
screen when I logout from my Ubuntu 12 user account.
Best regards
Darko
