hi all
I know I've been spamming the list lately and I'll do my best to cut back, but I just had to post this 
somewhere. Orca 
work just fine with pulseaudio, for the most part. The problem comes when you attempt to access a virtual 
console with 
speakup, whether it be via espeakup or speechd-up. I've been attempting to get the pulse devs to step in and 
at least 
help, but they don't seem to know why as soon as speech-dispatcher starts, speakup seems to fail. i can 
confirm it is in 
fact either speech-dispatcher or orca, because even with a graphical environment running  speakup works just 
fine. THe 
moment orca starts speaking speech in the console stops. I'm about at the end of my rope with pulse. I want 
to use it 
because it's really handy when switching between my usb headset and my stereo speakers, but without console 
access it's 
a real drawback. Does orca, speech-dispatcher or pulse audio need improving, perhapse all three? I"m trying 
to get other 
people's opinions on what can be improved so I can hopefully get something done. Most people don't seem to 
have any 
issues with pulse, so it must be me. I don't use purely graphical, I mix graphical and text console, using 
text apps 
like my news reader, irc client and email, while I use graphical for firefox, and the rest. Does pulse audio 
need some 
sort of configuration change? I'm completely stumped. Feedback is most definitely welcome.
