I am pretty sure it would not be hard to adapt the Manjaro installer for arch if anyone really wants to do
this, but again, arch is not the distro for
those who do not know enough to deal with the installation process. Just installing something is hardly the
whole show.
I think that perhaps a specific arch configuration could be useful automated, but getting a basic arch box,
installed, and by basic I mean what you get
with talking arch or any arch if you just install base, maybe base-devel and the stuff to get speakup working
would be like making a bot to kick novice
skydivers out of the jump hatch of a plane. You would hardly be doing the novice skkydiver a favor in most
cases I think.
I think archboot may be what talking arch did back around 2010, i.e. you were given options, mostly numbered
lists of options to choose from as I
recall.
I think the manjaro installer will indeed encrypt by default, but you do have the option of using a
partitioning tool that works well enough except you
must shift tab instead of forward tabbing to get at most options most of thje time to use it accessibly.
As is usually the case choosing your locale from the lists can be very sluggish on most machines.

Here's a link to a forum topic in which this project is discussed. Josh sent
this in answer to a question I asked. In future, please dont' post dirrect
links to things like .iso, without some explanation or additional links to
same.
Having looked at the discussion thread about this project, I downloaded and
booted this live image. It appears to be a respn of the Talking Arch, but
with an additional script, which automates the setup. The automation seems
to leave user with no control over what software is installed or how the
discs are set up. Also, it requires user to encrypt her file systems. I'm
not running this, BTW.
Cheers,
Dave Hunt

Thanks, but you forgot to include an address for the forum; and I did
not find it in a google search; trying again. I booted it up and read
some of the screens that came up. Doesn't sound like it lets user
control the installation much, rather, it just takes over and does its
thing, after which you have a huge installation? Maybe I'll just
throw it onto a spare box and see what happens? I like the idea, in
principle; A fresh install of Arch can be a bit daunting.
