These snippets lead me to believe that Orca should work. Whether or not 
it's installed on the live/install media is a horse of a different color 
however. I know that Orca works quite well with GNOME, and mostly with 
LXDE last I checked, and I also knoe that Orca, along with all its 
dependencies are included with standard Ubuntu. So the main issue would 
be whether it is necessary to try to open a terminal and blindly run
sudo apt-get install orca speech-dispatcher espeak
or if the alt+super+s method or entering orca in the alt+f2 run window 
will work.
