You're comparing apples and zebras. Windows and Linux are completely different, so they can't be compared.

I hardly think that's an appropriate comment.
Being able to view a folder in a file manager that has a large number of
items is about as fundamental as it gets.
Its not a problem on Windows with NVDA. Its not a problem on Mac with
VoiceOver. Its not even a problem on Android with Google TalkBack. Its
only a problem on Linux with Orca.
SO in that sense - its not "normal" for a modern operating system to
struggle so much with such a seemingly simple task.
Or are Linux users still expected to make do with a terminal and the ls
command, because Linux is "different"?
