Hi,
I noticed Orca+Spacebar do nothing when a workspace is empty on my
laptop with gnome 3.36.8. But it always start Orca Preferences while in
a workspace an app is running. On another laptop with gnome 42
Orca+Spacebar always start Preferences. Maybe this is of help.

Okay, so I recently grabbed the Orca 43 alpha from Debian Experimental
along with the latest version of at-spi-core.
For the most part, things are going well, but there's one new behavior
that's driving me a bit crazy, namely that as I tab around webpages
with tables, Orca is constantly announcing the row and column numbers
as I move between table cells, and it announces these before reading
the contents, breaking the work flow I'm used to on these
websites(Gmail's basic HTML view is hit particularly hard).
I'd search for a option in Orca's preferences to turn this off, but
for some reason, orca+spacebar doesn't bring up Orca's preferences,
and I'm not sure why it isn't working, though it's been this way for
quite some time and I suspect it has more to do with how I'm using an
extremely stripped down xserver and a launch script written by someone
else to launch Firefox+orca without launching a full Desktop than
anything dealing with Orca directly...
Anyways, is there a keyboard shortcut to toggle this function or
anything I can edit in ~/.local/share/orca to disable it?
