For a long time I've been invoking google-chrome via a shell which
exports ACCESSIBILITY_ENABLED then execs
/usr/bin/ggoogle-chrome-unstable (or google-chrome-stable if unstable
is proving unstable :-) via
exec /usr/bin/google-chrome-unstable --force-renderer-accessibility --enable-caret-browsing "$@"
Some time or other this started behaving less well, especially flat
review wouldn't follow the caret pointer around. A few tests suggests
the problem is the ACCESSIBILITY_ENABLED variable.
Not exporting it seems to fix the problem. Anyone else seen this
problem or is there something else going on?
I'm currently using google-chrome 108.0.5343.2-1
cheers
Peter
