I don't know... Once the power comes back on, you should be back to
normal within minutes. Modern file systems don't lose integrity because
of a power outage. Not to mention the fact that they are apparently in
some place that has frequent power outages.
It seems less than ideal but maybe it is the best we can do at this point.
