This was a good excuse to explore a bit how to make Bitbake recipes :)
I have made a recipe and it seems to work well:
% bitbake gnomeos-contens-runtime
...
% ostree --repo=/home/devel/gnomeos-build/repo ls -R \
gnomeos-3.6-i686-runtime /usr/share/fonts
d00755 0 0 0 /usr/share/fonts
d00755 0 0 0 /usr/share/fonts/ttf
-00644 0 0 672300 /usr/share/fonts/ttf/DejaVuSans-Bold.ttf
-00644 0 0 611212 /usr/share/fonts/ttf/DejaVuSans-BoldOblique.ttf
...
