re: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130304
The suggested .pln file extention is googleable and says some
Wordperfect Calc format. pnr seems OK but read further.....
I'm also concerned that "Planner" on its own is not free of
trademark/copyright globably whereas the compound product name
of "GNOME Planner" if almost certainly not trademarked.
This use of two words is a good way of protecting a name
e.g. "Microsoft Word" or "Microsoft Office" is the product
name though everyone says "Office" or "Word" -both or which
are generic names.
Hows does GNOME regulate the use of the word GNOME in
conjunction with another word ?.
So my current alternatives are thus...
.gpn - for the regular XML files (i.e. mrproject)
.gpz - for the future Gzippped format (if we go that way)
If we have eventually have lots of baselines and stuff then
we'll be doomed to go towards compressing the files IMHO.

Lincoln
