Hi there,

Hi,

I'm looking for a project planning desktop client for a multi-user
enterprise environment (meaning Windows). First, is anyone using
Planner (on
any OS) with a back-end database in a multi-user environment? If
so, how is
it working for you?

Second, can anyone comment on building Planner for Windows with
database
support? Is the database support unique to PostgreSQL? Could
MariaDB be made
to work without too much effort?

Current version of Planner doesn't support db anymore.

Thanks Alexandre.

Do you know why and when db support was removed? Did it work well, but no interest from current developers?
If someone was so inclined, would it be difficult to add db support back? (I didn't see anything obvious
briefly looking at the source, but perhaps I didn't know what to look for).

I have been considering GanttProject, but I like how Planner works and that Planner is C/GTK+ (and also,
GanttProject has *never* had db support).
