An interesting request, certainly! I've seen somebody mention it before, but I have no idea if this is common occurrence, or just an oddity of making Mayonnaise. You should file a bug for it, so we don't forget.
 

For future expansion I would suggest an option to group recipes by type (i.e. pasta, bread etc) as this seems to be missing in the interface atm.

We have a 'Meal' field for recipes, with values like pasta, breakfast, pizza, and you can search for it. Maybe that is not quite what you wree looking for ?
