Oh, I misunderstood. What you mean is that we don't allow unstable
external deps at all.
I don't think that is a problem here, though. We don't currently have
a dependency on
Pango > 1.20 in GTK+ and we can simply wait with adding one until
cairo 1.8 materializes.
