Ok...you are convincing me, but...how exactly would the menu items
work?  Like would it be 

Music->Seek 10 seconds forward
Music->Seek 10 seconds barckward
Music->Seek

Where the last entry would pop up a dialog asking you for a time?

Or do you just see something like

Music->Seek, which would pop up a dialog with a slider?

Or something else?

Yeah, agreed.  I should say I don't think the current netrb UI is
horrible or anything, but if we can work out all the details on a
concrete plan for a new UI I'd be happy to dump it.
