from my own experience with a Nokia 5200 (and patched hal-info that I
need to post some day), rhythmbox will convert from whatever to mp3
provided that hal informations are correct. That proved to not work with
flac though because somehow it would think flac looked like mp3. Is this
a known bug btw or could you confirm this ?
