That seems to be exactly the sort of thing I need.

That's the kind of thing I was going for, although the party shuffle is
more complex than what I had in mind. Simply adding a certain number of
random tracks to the play queue would fit how I personally use
rhythmbox, but making it more powerful would be very cool as well.

I'd be happy to work on that once the feature in the first bug was
implemented (or perhaps if it hasn't been done by summer I'll finally
read up on glib/gobject ;).
