When you say a plugin is started on the new protocol, is there a bug following the development of the pulseaudio that you know of?

Once the plugin exists, iirc all you have to do it to go to the gnome
mixer preferences, rhythmbox will show up there while it's playing,
and you have a dropdown to select between internal sound and airport
express :)
