[Setup-tool-hackers] frontend to backend

Hello,

Just a little question, what are currently the available methods of
communication between backend and frontend ?
Would it be possible to make backend and frontend communicate through
the network ? For example via XMPP provided by loudmouth ? Is there any
ongoing work on that subject ?
