They're related, but are not the same, yours seems to be a bug, Kirti's
is a side effect of that bug :)

The current problems that cause this are:

- We have a single communication channel with the backend, so if we wait
for a DHCP connection to activate or die, all communication would be
blocked until this request ends

- Any conversation is beginned by the frontend, so the backend cannot do
error reporting without being asked by the frontend

Those issues are unfortunately really hard to fix, maybe could only be
fixed if we move to a more mature RPC system (soap, xmlrpc, ...)
